We are The Erhu Crafters, the most respected Taiwanese Erhu making family among Erhu enthusiasts and professional musicians.
We have been in the traditional Chinese music industry for over 40 years, and since specialised in the Erhu making craft. Our first generation crafter realised that there were just way too little properly made Erhu in the market, and regular players had NO access to any well made instruments, even in China, where Erhu originated from. Instruments made by the best crafters only circulated among the highest level players and the rich, and the rest could only find Erhu of poor and inconsistent quality.
So, he took apart every Erhu he had, and literally taught himself how to make an Erhu from scratch. Many years later, here we are, still in the same workshop, with a few more hands to help, continue to craft the best Erhu in the industry. From youth just getting into music, to Erhu masters you only see on the most prestigious stages, are dear customers and friends.
We are honoured to be recognised as one of the most trusted Erhu makers among the largest names, on the biggest stages,
but we pride in what we do for the common erhu players, just like when we all started out 40 years ago.

What is Wrong With The Industry?
Erhu making techniques and knowledges are not easily passed on, and the best instrument makers can only produce so many with their own hands.
In order to meet the demand in Erhu, large companies and factories mass produces inconsistent instruments, made with cheaper materials and with close to no quality control; Resellers are often dishonest, prioritises their own profit over the interest of us Erhu players.
